THERA Lab - Technologies for Home-based Everyday Rehabilitation and Assistance

THERA Lab
Technologies for Home-based Everyday Rehabilitation and Assistance

THERA lab is a real-world experimentation Living Lab that develops and validates technologies and digital solutions for monitoring, rehabilitation, and proximity care. It targets people living with neurodegenerative conditions and sensorimotor and/or cognitive impairments. The Living Lab brings together clinical and engineering expertise to co-design, test, and validate tools aimed at improving autonomy, wellbeing, and continuity of care. Activities are structured along three main tracks: 1) pathways and technologies for assessment, rehabilitation, and everyday-life support for people with neurodegenerative conditions; 2) tools, services, and interventions dedicated to caregivers, to reduce caregiver burden and improve home-based care management; 3) prevention and management of cardio-circulatory comorbidities as a cross-cutting component supporting both people with impairments and caregivers, including through multidisciplinary models and digital platforms. THERA fosters collaboration among universities, hospitals, companies, and citizens, with governance and ethical data management oriented toward responsible experimentation.
